FOOD, MONEY, TIME
Aimed at managing food insecurity among students, the Wits Food Bank is run on a volunteer-basis at the Wits Citizenship and Community Outreach centre. The food bank often runs out of food. Donations of food parcels and/or money are needed to assist in feeding over 500 students weekly.
ACT NOW: Donate food parcels, money or your expertise to tutor members students in extra lessons in your community. .
Food Parcels include the following non-perishable items:
- Oats (Jungle Oats)
- Sorghum Meal (Maltabella)
- Futurelife
- Peanut Butter
- Jam
- Bovril
- Tinned Foods (beans, peas, vegetables etc.)
- Mealie Meal
- Rice
- Pasta
- Two-minute Noodles
- Tea
- Coffee
- Sugar
- Salt
- Oil
